Walter L. Wright is a former Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in it's New York field office.  During his twenty-five year FBI career, he conducted federal investigations into violent crimes against children, specializing in on-line sexual exploitation of minors for commercial prostitution; the production and distribution of child pornography; and international parental kidnappings. 

He has successfully recovered approximately two dozen child victims of international parental abductions.  He has expertise on the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and the federal International Parental Kidnapping Crime Act (IPKCA). 

Walter was honored as the National Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2011 by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) for the recovery of two minors from Tunisia, a non-Hague Treaty nation.  He successfully recovered two minors from non-Hague nation Saudi Arabia in November 2015.  

Mr. Wright retired from the FBI effective February 1, 2016 and took a position in academia at Princeton University where he is currently a Title IX Investigator in the Office of the Provost.
