"Daniel Pacheco, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician, masters level trained mental health therapist and nationally known speaker on topics of stress management, creating well-being and overcoming adversity. He has presented to numerous medicalconferences, hospital systems and academic programs throughout the US and China. Due to his unique and diverse background he has been interviewed and or quoted by various local and national newspapers and magazines, including Psychology Today and Health Leaders magazine.
Dr. Pacheco’s passion of transforming lives has been a professional and personal goal for last 20 years. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, he graduated from University of Texas-El Paso with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and moved to the Pacific Northwest where he continued his education earring a Masters in Counseling Psychologyfrom Antioch University. It was working with hospitalized patients that guided him to change his career to be able to help more people on a broader scale. With support of his family he was accepted into the University of New MexicoMedical School and eventually completed his internal medicine residency training with Banner Health University Medical Center, a Truven Analytics top 5 health system. During his training he was award Resident of the Year in consecutive years.
Dr. Pacheco started as a hospitalist at the Banner Gateway MD Anderson Hospital and quickly moved up the ranks to become Chief Medical Officer of Banner Behavioral Hospital and CMO of the service line for state of Arizona. He has held other positions including Medical Director of a Health Plan and ED physician at the Phoenix VA Hospital.
Most recently he has opened his own medical weight loss clinic, Vita Wellness and is Medical Director of an outpatient opioid treatment program in Tempe, Az.
Dr. Pacheco is the proud father of three boys Aaron, Isaiah and David."
